Three Architects and International House of Japan
The International House of Japan (IHJ) was co-designed by great masters of Japanese architecture, Junzo SAKAKURA, Kunio MAEKAWA and Junzo YOSHIMURA. IHJ is an important piece of modern Japanese architecture designed in harmony with the masterpiece of modern gardens created by Jihei Ogawa the 7th. Many architects, including Le Corbusier, have visited IHJ. Even today, more than 60 years after its completion, it still keeps the original building of 1955.
In this event, we will learn about the architecture of IHJ through a special lecture and guided tour by Prof. Hiroshi Matsukuma.
